Hi, I’m Brittany. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting people through some of life’s hardest seasons. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, ADHD, and other neurodivergent experiences. My ideal client is someone who is ready to work through their challenges with support and is open to growth and change.
My approach is warm, straightforward, and grounded in real connection. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel safe, understood, and free of judgment, and I work to create that from the very beginning. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic work, and Motivational Interviewing, but I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. We’ll figure out together what works for you!
I take a holistic approach and am interested in how people make meaning of their experiences. I’m drawn to integrative perspectives that incorporate mindfulness and intuitive approaches to help clients better understand themselves and their inner experience. I am proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming and am committed to providing a safe, inclusive space for individuals of all gender identities, expressions, and sexual orientations. I also have a strong commitment to supporting women, including those navigating life transitions, identity, relationships, and the unique pressures women often carry.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a range of settings, including community mental health, the criminal justice system, private practice, and academia. Across these experiences, I’ve come to deeply respect the complexity of people’s stories and the resilience they carry, even when it feels hard to see. In addition to my clinical work, I’m also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee, where I teach and mentor future social workers. I love helping people grow whether that’s in the classroom or in the clinical space.
Outside of my work, I’m an animal lover, enjoy gardening, and love to cook—things that help me stay grounded and connected in my own life.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself, you don’t have to sort it out alone. My goal is to help you make sense of what’s going on, build tools that help you move towards a life that feels more manageable and more aligned with who you are becoming.
